Curtin University Sydney is situated close to Sydney Central Station (5-10 min walk)

 
Building:

With a modern building, Curtin University Sydney has an admin area, 4 floors with classrooms, an extra floor for the library and a student relax room. Computer rooms in the basement and a terrace on the roof.

Students:

Curtin University has currently 1300 to 1400 students with 80% international students. With max 50 students in lectures and max 25 student in editorials, every student will be very well looked after!

Semester starts 2009:

• 2 March, 6 July, 2 Nov

Fast Track Study:

• All courses marked with a (*) can be studied in fast track mode – that means option is to do the summer semester in Nov or not (all other semester must be done!)
• Sample Bachelor: study 2 years (= similar to 3 years Bachelor Degree)

Special Feature:

• internships can be organised for full time students in their last semester (related to course studied) – cost 450 A$
• Jobs next to study can be organised (e.g. waiter, bar keeper etc.)
• in the final semester there is usually an interview with every student to discuss further plans (migration, going back to home country, studying onwards…) and jobs after graduation can be organised!
• “Premium Internship Program”: 3 months internship + job guarantee (!!) for students who graduate with Distinction (= 75% and better)

Study:

• 16 hours classes per week
• students need to add another 5 hours per week and subject self study, 4 subjects per semester (+20 hours/week)
• usually 2 tests per semester per subject
• usually 1 assignment per semester and subject (sometimes less, depending ob degree)

Study Abroad

To study abroad at Curtin University Sydney it requires at least 1 year study at your home university (undergraduate or postgraduate)

Diplomas are accepted alternatively from the following institutes
(entry in Year 2):

• SIBT (MQ)
• Insearch – UTS
• TAFE NSW
