The Macquarie University offers four different Master-degrees in the
Law-area :
- Master of Commercial Law
- Master of International Environmental Law
- Master of International Trade and Commerce Law
- Master of Laws in International Environmental Law
For Law-students from Germany the best program is the last one. If they have
finished their Law-studies in Germany with the First State Exam only the
last program might have an advanced level in law. It requires also an
undergraduate Law- degree.
The other three programs are more general, do not require a Law- degree, and
the level might not be high enough for students with a Law-degree.
The,, Master of Laws in International Environmental Law" - program is a
research-program. The website of the University does not tell us much about
the certain conditions of the studies, but it might be the same like
research-programs at other universities. The student will work under a
supervisor and doing a research in a Law-area he has chosen by himself.
The program takes one year and the student can start every march or july.
The tuition-fee per year for the program is 18, 400 Australian Dollars.
To do this Master-program is very interesting for students who like to work
individual when they do a research, and if they are already specialised in
Environmental - Law.
