Uni In the Brewery ; Session 2 - Writing workshop and seminar
University of Wollongong Academics and noted Writers, Mr Allan Wearne and Dr Shady Cosgrove will be sharing their writing and publishing experiences on the 17th of May, 2006 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at the Five Islands Brewery.
The participants will discuss topics including publishing opportunities, elitism and the future of publishing.
Mr Allan Wearne was recently the co-recipient of the Colin Roderick Award for Book 2 of his verse novel "The Lovemakers" ('Money & Nothing'). Mr Wearne is also the author of verse selections including, 'Public Relations', 'New Devil', 'New Parish' and 'Out Here'.
Mr Wearne's writing interests include fiction and non-fiction. The other particpant, Dr Shady has just completed her first novel titled, "The Varens Obsession". The novel is a expose into the life of Edward Rochester's Mistress, Celine Varens.
